Reinstatement of deregistered company

If your company has been deregistered by CIPC due to outstanding annual returns, it is possible to reinstate it. The company must meet one of the following requirements in order to be successfully reinstated:

  • The company has an active bank account
  • The company has assets registered in the name of the company
  • The company has an outstanding tax debt

You can then submit a request to CIPC to reinstate the company. Once the request has been approved, the company status will change to “reinstatement process”. The turnaround time at CIPC to process this request is between 5 and 10 business days. The next step is then to submit the outstanding annual returns. After this, the status will change to “In business”.

If you need assistance to submit the request, we can assist for R400 plus the annual returns fee. Click here for assistance.
